I’m currently out to accompany some kids in the poster making contest. It’s challenging to draw kids because they move a lot even if they’re watching a movie on ipad or if they’re drawing. But they sure are fun to watch.
This pretty lady is Michelle whom I have known as emjayzed here on WordPress. We challenged each other before to make an origami crane (The Wishing Crane). She is a fun person, do check out her site! If you want me to draw your portrait under the time pressure of 30 minutes as well, do say so on the comments below, and I’d be really glad to draw you as my next model. 😀
Have a great day!
The pretty girl on the portrait is April Salvador. I used her picture on the beach. I just love how the air messed with her hair . It doesn’t look exactly like that, but I guess I had fun drawing her hair. If you want me to draw your portrait, don’t hesitate to tell me in the comments below. 🙂
Anyway I hope you are having fun. Have a great day!
Laughter brightens a day,
Uplifts a soul, complaints go away.
Whoever you are, in whatever state you may be,
Find your happiness and let it be!
The guy in the portrait is Angelo Maniquis, the owner of the blog Fete Design and Print. He’s a versatile artist who takes photos and videos of events, and he makes other souvenir items worth checking out. And it also happens to be his birthday today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELO! 😀
PS: I used charcoal pencil this time, a regular graphite pencil and a small piece of cotton for shading. I’m starting to get the hang out of drawing fast portraits. Just let me know if you want me to make you a portrait too in the comments below. This the 3rd out of 300, I sure will need a lot more faces. lol.
I hope you like it. Have a great day!
“A mother is the truest friend we have,
when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us;
when adversity takes the place of prosperity;
when friends desert us;
when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us,
and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness,
and cause peace to return to our hearts.”
― Washington Irving
This is a portrait of a beautiful woman who loves her son so dearly. She is Angela Nevitt the author of the blog oneincreation. I’m not sure if I have drawn the resemblance well, but I sure hope I had captured the love going on between a mother and son.
If you want me to draw you a 30 minute portrait just tell me in the comments below. 🙂
I hope you like it. Have a blessed Sunday!
Hurray! Here goes the first portrait for my 30 minute art project. But not really the first ( see Timmy ).
The girl on the drawing is my sister-in-law, Visia. Even though I am still planning to do this little project of making fast portraits for study, she already asked me to do her portrait. Aside from that, it just happened to be her birthday yesterday. (Happy Birthday Sis!)
On the process of making this portrait, I was wondering what medium to use. I am even thinking of using ink or colored pencils. But I might not finish it on time so, the fastest medium is just the simple and common graphite pencil.
And oh btw, you may find it a bit similar to Artboy68’s 100 portrait project although mine is under time pressure.. lol XD.
That artist is amazing! Do check his art out.
As for me, this is just a simple study on doing fast portraits for practice. I tend to be a little too perfectionist on my art that I consume a lot of time on every commercial portrait that I do. In doing this, I hope to be able to discover my own art style and make it a little more spontaneous and fun.
I hope you like my drawing! If you want me to draw your portrait just let me know on the comments below. 🙂
Have a great day!
The light that dances at the palm of your hands,
Waiting for you to grasp and be found. 🙂
The dreamer girl totally matches my mood today. For these past few days my thoughts are out of perspective. I was feeling restless again, my mind, that is. Well, there can be days that you may feel totally demotivated and restless. I know I wanted to do something or I need to do something but I can’t make myself do it. Surprisingly my recurrent dream helped me out a lot. In my dream for two days in a row, I managed to do something successfully, something I can’t do when I’m awake. And then I dreamed of myself killing zombies successfully (woah) LOL. Somehow, this dream motivated me all over again. And I’m back on my feet once again. When I woke up, I just decided that I’m gonna make that happen (not the zombie part, ok? lol). Somehow dreams help us also in figuring out what we failed to think about in our waking life and can help us into a sudden realization.
Happy dreaming! 😀
There is a time for everything,
and everything on Earth has its special season.
There is a time to be born and a time to die.
There is a time to plant and a time to pull up plants.
There is a time to kill and a time to heal.
There is a time to destroy and a time to build.
There is a time to cry and a time to laugh.
There is a time to be sad and a time to dance.
There is a time to throw away stones and a time to gather them.
There is a time to hug and a time not to hug.
There is a time to look for something and a time to stop looking for it.
There is a time to keep things and a time to throw things away.
There is a time to tear apart and a time to sew together.
There is a time to be silent and a time to speak.
There is a time to love and a time to hate.
There is a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NCV)
Mr. Fat Rat smokes a pipe,
Rummages the kitchen and loves to snype!
Quick to run and quick to hide,
His bad habits just won’t subside!
